Can anyone tell me the probable diff ratio of an old 79 model 4L diesel 4spd flat tray cruiser and what an 85 model 60 series 5spd 4l diesel would be

Both the same, 4.1.
Are you sure the 79 tray top is a 4Litre, my 11/79 HJ45 is a 3.6L 'H' motor. Pretty sure is was mid 1980 the 4Litre 2H was released into the HJ47.
Either way the ratio is the same.

The HJ60 diff maybe a LSD too.

Thanks i can now swap diffs and the 60 isn't lsd unfortunatelly.
