Beat me to it. I was just about to let you know. Sam's fitted price is pretty good but if you want to do it yourself that's a good price from Trailtough. As for service, some people seem to love them and others don't but that goes for every vendor in the US.

No, I was just saying Sam is offering a great deal on his gears fitted but if you wanted to fit your own gears that the Trailtough price is pretty good and a touch deeper.

Did you have a look on T/Ts web site for them ? I did and couldn't see them on their anywhere, it's hard to order them if ya can't see em !

I've decided to stay IFS and replace the farked alloy diff with a steel GV one so I'm probably going to order the Calmini 4.24:1 @ US $975 along with the 3" suspension kit as well.

yes they ain't on the website yet... that's why they have a phone number and an email address.

Since they are the same ratio it's possibly the exact same ones as calmini gets made up.

i think what you are talking about is on the homepage. trailtough and RRO has always been good to me. the guy i deal with at RRO is named AJ. he is really helpful. i dont deal with any others, but i am sure there are good ones and not so good ones. brent with TT is also a good guy. i like dealing with him because he is the owner, and i figure if i get bad service from him, he just doesnt want the biz.... but that has never happened.

I'll looking at these for my '89 SWB Vit. They say for 91 onwards, whats the differance in the Transfer cases?

lol, how times change. i actually ended up ordering these through sean at abt. they arrived at my place today, but noone was home to sign for em, so i have to pick them up tomorrow :cry:

anyway, its only taken me 2 odd years, but i'll finally have crawler gears :armsup:

Length difference. You'll need to get a later model t-case as they're all made for the later style.

The Vitara has three significant differences in transfer case. The first two are have variancies in the case and gears. The input, counter and output gears themselves have different widths and offsets as well the teeth having a different helix. These differences also culminate with different case casting between the models plus a few other differences in the top over switches. Suzuki usually use chassis numbers to differentiate where changes have been made. If the guys in USA give a year model it is usually approximate as the changes mentioned here happened mid model.

Another difference in transfer gears relates to all V6 Vitara/Grand Vitara manual (only). Whether it has a H20A or H25A engine, the input gear is different to all other Vitara models no matter what engine or transmission. The length of one of these shafts is another 40 odd mm over the other models and the offset is different. So if you own one of these models and you want lower gearing be weary of the differences.

i got rid of em cause they offered no high range reduction. i'm probably goin to be running a sierra case with calmini gears
