80 series diff ratios

I've just fitted a 4 inch lift in my 80 series landcruiser along with some 35 inch claws.
Previous was pretty much stock with 32 inch BFG's. Now after putting the 35's on, i noticed how much the speed was reduced and it struggled even more on the hills.
A friend of mine told me to get rid of my 4.1 diff centres and go for a 4.65, plus adjust the speedo cable.
Does anyone have a fair idea how much 4.65's would be worth or have any advice to help me out ?
I'll be fitting a turbo to my 1hz engine once i've found a kit.
Cheers
James

wont need speedo gear change once you've done diff ratios as the gearing will be almost back to std

i thought i saw them on the snake website for
$550 about 6 months ago. which i think is a more
realistic price tag.

At $550 its getting more realistic.
If prices havent changed much in the last 12months or so you should be able to buy them at an even better price than this if you look around.

Yes $750 isn't realistic,
I am sure i could do much better than that, i've always done better than a set price.
Emailed Mick at Superior.
I doubt there'd be many 2nd hand 4.3's or bundera 4.6's on the market

You could find a complete 4.3 100series centre for the front but it would prob end up costing more than a new set of gears. 4.6 ratio doesnt excist. The closest is a 4.56 which are fitted to some petrol Bundies.
The 100series 4.3 rear crown and pinion can be modified to fit the 80series centre but again not worth the $$.
If Mick cant help you out try Diff Lapping at Slacks Creek or Kedron they should be able to get them also.
