Donaldson pre-cleaner question

I'm contemplating buying a Donaldson centrifugal pre-cleaner for my TD42 (the one that is fit on the snorkel). I heard that they shouldn't be used on road above 80km/h, but 'm planning to use it only in very dusty conditions like convoys. The ABB catalouge lists the 10" version for the TD42, but I'm wondering if the 7" version would do as well. Does anyone know where I could get them cheaper than at ARB? Any feedback of their pros and cons would ba apprecieated.

My dad has one on his toy 80 and reckon that it works well and he leaves it on all the time. Personally I think the ram effect of snorkles is a load of crap so dont see why it would be a problem.
I would go the bigger one as diesel's go thru alot of air. Dont see why cant be left on if you are going somewhere where it is going to be dusty.
Have you tried looking at a truck place.

I bought one off baz...
I put it on for the drive home, it still had some dust in it. Started car, could instantly see the dust swirling around in there, so in theory that part works pretty kewl... its the 10inch jobby.
Will find out in July on center trip we are doin..

Smaller one with 3" inlet will work OK on NON Turbo diesel. Need 10" on Turbo.
