so i always find my self over on this board when i have hard to find toyota questions i figured i should come post up some pics. I relized that after i was uploading that i didnt get a lot of action pics. If yall want to see some i got lots two months ago when we were out there.
Then the sad part of the weekend. My buddy has had his 79 pickup for 3 weeks now. This was his first time offroad with it. First night he rolled it. I was in the passenger seat at the time.

After using the high lift on the cab and some duct tape for the windsheild we drove it home like this.

Well we put the drivers door back on since my side got the worst of it ran some tape on the windsheild so the glass wouldnt fall apart then drove it on the highway home. Its his only way to and from work so he has to have it.
Yeah and run around naked too

DIRTY ROCK STAR - It would be easier to get one custom made wouldn't it. Thats how I will be going, that and nothing standard will fit my custom bars, and there is nothing standard for my model of car, don't think they were expecting them to be full time soft tops.

hbar314 - Nice pics, bad luck about your mates rig, just good you guys are okay.
And what is it with every single off-roader taking there doors off when they go out. Better view, less panels to damage. What is the theory there.

True, with a windscreen like that you would need the doors off...

Its an 86 (we have ifs on the 86 and later) and he solid axle swaped it and has those 35x12.50R15 bfg muds on it. It also has some 1.5" spacers. Ill send him over and he could get some more pics if you want.

hey hbar314. V cool pix
i note you say you use the aussie locker in the front of your rig.
we cant get them over here and i was wondering what your opinon of them is. do you have mates that run them in the rear too?
thanks for any info... we can only compare them to the Lokrites here and there is a bit of argument as to weather they are the same thing or not.

I love mine. Makes very little noise and is beefie. The blue ute (first pic) has one in the front also. There have been some debates here against the lockright also. In comparision the aussie is physically biggier then the lockright. So much so that most people (including myself) have to clearance the carrier to get them in. Not much, just a little work with the file. I see this as getting more bang for my money. Also aussie locker will warentty there locker for oversized tires and the such, where as lockright doesnt. Just that fine print alone was enough to buy one. Oh and they were just $200us at the time i bought

i think its worth considering... i just priced one up, works out to AU$340 plus frieght. thats just about half price of a Lok rite, and most guys on here dont rate them.
