just wondering who in melbourne is good for diesel injector pump repairs?

has anyone used B.S.P diesel service in cambellfield or Rankin diesel out bayswater way?

apparently the leak from the top of my injector pump{gq td42} is caused by this new low sulphur fuel as it stuffs the seals. one place i called said i was the tenth person to have rung them with this problem this week.

any and all thoughts appreciated.

If your in the Northernn suburbs try BSP. I havnt used them but never heard anything bad either.

Post up later what it cost and what they did as others on here will sure need to know.

You been to rankins too? I was quoted over $2k to 'setup' my turbo. not install it.

if you like a good a$$ r@&en go to rankin, gave them a go for work (trucks & buses) used em twice never again.

i havn't live in Melb for years so i have no idea these days

just had mine done will be refitting it on saturday arvo same problem, BJs wanted $1200 and that was trade i ended up paying $650 (that was trade might be more off the street but less than bjs garenteed) through a local bloke the number is: 9775 0889 llinares diesel and efi.

thanks for the tips all. sounds like rankins is worth a miss, just have to arrange time to take the truck off the road for a couple of days to get the work done.
as requested will post up the results of the fix and how much i get stung. ta again.

These guys do a good job and a fair price. 80 series rotary pumps for around $600 changeover... they do good setups for turbo. If you get a boost compensator put on expect a bill up around $2000 from anyone - they aren't cheap anywhere!

They are doing some BRILLIANT work with TD6 Nissans - upto 30% pretty cheap, upto 50% more power - but it costs..

I wouldnt have a clue what there work is like iv'e never been there. im just mates with johny from trade school thats all.

Ok here's the results. It sounds like the dandenong mob are also very good but just a bit too far for me to go. For interests sake only and I was in the area I dropped in to r#nkins diesel and you are all correct not worth your time as very exxy and a bit vague when breaking down the costs. Ended up using BSP in campbellfield 9308 7188. Replaced the top seals on the pump and re-bushed the throttle bit as it had some play in it, total cost $320 done in one day. Guys name was Greg and very friendly and helpful with useful advice. Will go back in another 10 to 20k as the gq will have done about 300k then and it would probably be wise to overhaul the pump and injectors by then anyway.

i know you already have had the work done but you could also try Andrew from Diesel TECH in Lilydale he did some mods on my GU and his prices are very affordable.

I also told him about outerlimits and if you mentioned that you spoke to me James with silver GU he will look after you.

just thought to yourself or anyone else out their it's hard to find someone cheap and provide decent level of service.
