Replacing front axle seal

My GQ has had a slight oil leak coming from the driver side steering knucle for about 9 months now. Its not pissing out, but I get a couple of drops of oil on the garage floor every now and again.
How difficult is it to pull the oil seal off the diff housing? Any special tools reqiured to remove and replace the seal?
I will be replacing the brake rotors and wheel bearings while Im at it coz the car has 330k on the clock and I dont want to deal with this again ever if I can. So to try and limit this expensive maintenace procedure I will try doing it my self.
Any advice would be great.

Its an easy job all you will need is a 14 mm and 17 mm socket which will undo most bolts 22mm for brake caliper special tools will be a tube spanner for the wheel bearing nuts i think its 54mm and a pair of Cclip pliers not cir clip looks the same but no small holes just as the circle comes together the ends are tapered you have to strip everything out to get to the seal its the first thing in seals will cost you about $6 each from Assosiated World Bearings or there equivilant

Your leak doesn't sound bad enough, but often a swivel housing oil leak on a GQ is the first sign of a bent front diff housing.

With 330k they do wear. Also check breather is clear and oil level not too high. One reason they leak is due to the high oil level in the front (rev rot) diff. Pinion at top.
Oil can seperate from grease too and slowly weep. Sometimes just cleaning out and repacking... but while your there replace seals...

Yeah, a leak will definitely occur if the diff housing was bent.
It wasnt leaking oil when I first bought the car and Im pretty sure I havent bent it either. I dont wheel that hard.
Thanks for the input guys.
