I am trying to find out if my springs have sagged, pedders have a chart that is measured from the bottom of the rim to the bottom of the gaurd. 720mm

The only prob is i have put on rangie spare fibreglass flares and cut away the gaurds

So can some one measure from the bottom of the gaurd to the bottom of the crease on the gaurd front and back, so i can calculate the difference

The most common place to measure spring height is from the bump stop to the top of the axle hosuing, it's where i've always done it are you still runnig standard disco springs under your rig??

On my 1991, 3 door, V8, stock spring lengths at normal load (full fuel, empty cargo) was 218 mm front and 284 mm rear. These are the lengths of the compressed springs.

thanks guys i found another disco to measure Pedders have a height measurement that is measured from the bottom of the rim to the bottom of the gaurd the front is meant to be 720mm for standard forgot what they said the back was

But my OME spring according to this have sagged back to standard from being 50mm extra in a little over 1year what spring do people use and that they are happy with i was looking at going 3" so that when they sag it will still clear the rubber

Springs shouldn't sag. If they do, I'd return. I've had OME springs for 5 years and checked heights, with no sag.

Best options for springs are Rangie Spares in Melbourne.

If yours has the roof bars it should be 2005mm to the top of them but if not it should be 1920 to the roof top

This is for a standard disco!!!

I agree with red90...

If the OME springs have given up that much in a year, take them back and tell them to replace them.

I used EFS springs and shocks on my old disco and they gave a little under 3" of lift and didn't settle down much at all - and were a great package...better than the OME and cheaper, too :D

Dobinsons have some good springs for discos now and do an off the shelf 3" lift. I have been told that they are good springs and I will be fitting a 3" set to my defender with either TD adjustables or EFS shocks.
