Which way for Hilux

I'm throwing a few ideas around at the moment with my Dad who owns a 91 hilux 2.8.

Its a DD and we are working out the best way to go. It already has OME Springs and shocks all round, toying with a body lift to clear bigger meats

A second set of 33 Inch Swampers will be run for offroad. 31inch At's are already on it for onroad.

As he has driven my zook with a 6:1 rockhopper he liked the reduction gearing, where just in dissagreement as to which way to go.

Any comments/suggetions would be appreciated.

Its not going to be doing much hard core stuff and already has a winch so he doesn't HAVE to drive everything

so:
One locker and hopper or 2 lockers

It realy depends on what he wants. With 33" tyres you realy dont need the Rockhopper. You could just go with 2 ARBs and re-gear the diffs to 4.88s. It will have 4.375s in it now. With 2 ARBs its going to get further than One and Transfer gearing.

I reckon rear locker and dual transfers, was watching a 75 series today who had front and rear lockers, and transfer gears, he was hardly locked as he was trying to get as far as he could unlocked, but watching the reduction he was getting to a step and just turning back and forth to the tyres bit and pulled up, so just my two bobs worth, other mates lux has 4.88 diff gears, front and rear lockers, standard 2.8 with 5 speed and he went home with a broken CV, for something that didn't even look two hard, gear reduction on a lux is probably the best money you'd ever spend as luxs main weak points are it's CV's and axles. ;)
