FUEL

I have a 90 model hilux 4x4 with 22r motor. It seems likes fuel to much.
Im only geting about 300km's to a tank 60L.Does anyone have the same
model and what km's do you get. If its a problem where do i start to look to fix it any tips.

yeah got the same model - loves the juice!! :twisted: :twisted:

Got about 420km to the tank the other weekend on a run up to Landcruiser from Brissy (60L odd tank) and it seems to run better and more ecconimical for a while after a big run like that.

Around town get about 350ish running 33 muds all the time though....

You'll proly get the usuall threads about Hiclone and Snorkels Fact is it is a thirsty engine. What can you do?

My girls brother has the same lux and complains that it chews more fuel than his old VK commo. Common prob really, swap the engine or the car or deal with it I guess :?:

Yep! same as every1 else . 350 kays. Mines on gas as well which actually makes it not to bad,About the same as a car to run. You still wouldnt call it cheap though

Give it a good tune-up to make sure it's running as well as possible. Change oils, lube driveshafts...
Also check the front/rear brakes. My front discs were dragging very badly as the brake pistons had gummed up.

Oh, and have a look at the cat converter... it may require 'unclogging' or a new one ;)
