I am bit oif a Hi Lux newbie - and thereofre thought i should i ask people more knowledgable before i buy, how much you think this is worth?
96 Dual Cab, 2.8D, 5spd, white. Has all terrain tyres/mags (bigger than usal) super lift adjustable lift kit, tub liner, brand new tub (other punctured by tractor), big bullbar, 9000lb winch 12months reg and rwc - car has travelled on 150000kms.
Seems like this car plus a turbo mod would be a great first 4x4 for me to play with, and take the kids bush in?
What is the max this truck is worth? in melb.

Have a look in the tradingpost.
redbook and glass guide.
those things will give you a good indication. probably a good family truck.
and yeah i would think around 13-14K maybe a touch more.
is it SR5??
maybe 15K???
but remember its a buyers market! so offer a fair bit less.

Thanks for the advice.
Its does look a nice clean truck, he has 16900 on it, whcih after a bit of looking around is starting to seem a tiny bit too much.
I really want a turbo charged diesel - how much would it cost, drop off the a specialist, fit turbo, proper tune up, drive away turbo charged? asusming an average setup, not a crazy off its head one - no pulling the motor apart etc ?
I was just gonna get a surf, or cheap hi lux, but since i cant find a nice surf wife has convinced me to get a WHITE lifted hi lux with lots of lights on the rollbar, turbo etc and plaster our business all over it as a nice tax dodge and hopefully create some awareness for our brand.
