turbo boost level

just wondering if anyone can help just wondering what turbo boost pressures the guys with turbo diesel surfs and hiluxes run and what size engines are they.

i have late model hilux with turbo and in tercooled...runs at max 12psi boost have no problems..u should either slighty better motor in urs

3l 2.8 diesel with dts turbo on about 11psi

i used to run my 2.4 surf non intercolled at 11 - 12 psi.

thanx guys i appreciate your input i run 10 at the moment so i should be able to bump it up to 12 or so fingers crossed.

I was warned by a local turbo guru not to run more than 12 psi in yota diesels though he did say that 12 psi is fine.
I only run 7 though

I run my 2.4 TD Surf with adjustable boost up to 13lbs (mostly on 11lbs), it's got a 2 7/8" exhaust, rebuilt turbo, WRX intercooler, remapped pump etc. Goes well
