Who`s got what and which one do you think is the best?

I`m going to put one on the 80 this weekend and am looking at a Twine.

post up the pics of it!!!
Or do ya have a patent on the thing?

Why does it kick ass over the other ones???

I think they will all do pretty much the same thing. There is prolly more variation in the way you set it up than how each one performs.

I got a glind one btw

i've done the same as hypolux and yes, they are patented. Car ones suck!! A few of the advantages include not needing to have the car running and the shower doesn't need to be situated near the car. We have been using this type for years and years.

Guts, I've got an Autoshower brand it's the model packed in the case.
I have the quick release fittings on the Jabber so has my mate in his Tojo.
Works real well I set the hand throttle in the Jabber to about 1700rpm and it's the perfect temp.
I can get a 7 min shower out of a 25ltr Jerry can which is plenty of time to de-crustify ya clacker after numerous beer shits :D

Since I make alot of things and do alot of the work myself on the lux I couldn`t be bothered with making crap for the cruiser so it will only ever get off the shelf stuff, so hypo you`re idea is out even though I know how to do it and know it is very easy. Daz had a home made one in his hilux and it work great and had a 10lt tank of hot water on hand once the car had been driven for about 30mins.

I looked at the glinde shower aswell as the twine but I think the twine has butter fittings with it.

i am also a fridgie and used a custom lobster tank evaporator made out of stainless steel for the heat exchanger on my ute.
It actually works too good and gets too hot so i usually put it on full bore for a couple of minutes to heat up the 20 litre bucket full then i can turn off the truck.

i have made some out of copper before and coiled up about 3 metres of 3/8 tube and placed it inside a section of 100 mm copper tube and brazed fittings on to run the cold water through the 3/8 tube and the radiator water through the 100 mm tube.
i use a 360gph 12V bilge pump to pump the water through as it is fairly slow... can get 2 adults and 2 kids showered out of 20 litres.
BTW. dont turn off the water flow between showers as it gets near boiling when you turn it back on...very nearly burnt the kids the first time.
i use a large 20 litre bucket for the cold water and drop the pump in there and just let the shower recirculate by placing the shower head back in the bucket between uses.
also pays to filter the water as it can block the shower nozzle easily.

Im also like hypo...cant be bothered making any more

Iv been thinking about making a shower system aswell but dont think i will bother with the heating as its usually not that cold up this way.

What i was thinking of using was a high pressure pump from the local boating shop so i could use it to wash my car as well. (may need to reduce pressure for showering ) ;)

When we go mud running we like to drop by our local swimming spot on the way home & park in about half metre of water to wash off the mud before it end up on my driveway.

I filled 3 10 litre buckets of mud from under my Cruiser that washed onto my driveway once. Beter if i didnt bring it all home.

Good idea ???

Here's a link to a site that looks like it has some off the shelve stuff at a bit cheaper price.
