I have an 1986 Suzuki Samurai the original engine was pulled in January after 312,000km and replaced with Chevy S10 2.8L V6 however the guy that the work didn't do a good job. The heads blew after 30 miles. They were rebuilt with Edlebrock heads, manifold, cam etc, The rad was replaced with a larger Prelude Rad however it does not appear to be cooling the engine at all. An old time Mechanic told me the water pumps on the 2.8L runs the opposite direction to any other engine and to be careful. I haven't found a way checking the flow but is sure getting hot..

My other problem the fellow left my transfercase and tranny too high and the rear drive shaft anle was sitting at 25% I have already torn off the rear shaft and have wicked axel wrap, Any suggesions

I have an eletric fan

An old time mechanic warned me about 2.8 water pumps being the opposite to most others. I am going to try and test this morning with a temperature probe

how did you go with the test?

if the pump flows the opposite way.could you not just switch the pipes over on the radiator? as it needs to flow top to bottom...
