can any of you guys tell me the pros and cons of putting in 5.0l holden injectors and do they just go straight in?
Do people do this for fuel economy or extra power?
Thanks in advance.

Usually fitted when using original efi hardware on a stroker or larger capacity engine. There is no need on a stock engine.

Can the stock 3.9 injectors feed a 4.6 or a 5.2 stroker?
Not looking at revving the tits off it, will set the cam to produce max torque at 4,000rpm anyway.

The 3.9 injectors are the same as the 4.6 ones. Its all just how the ecu tells them to work that makes the biggest difference.

so changing the injectors won't make a hell of a lot of difference?
I guess that with the V8 I've just gotta deal with the **** fuel economy.

Unfortunately anything weighing a couple of tonnes is gonna suck the go go gas!
Ask any Nissan or Toyota driver!
Keep a close eye on the MegaSquirt thread.
Might be a way to help the situation. Might also be time for a new cam and timing chain set........

She's done about 185 000k's, still runs sweet as, except for the little bad fuel problem I had a week or so ago.
Fuel consumption's still pretty much as the manuel says it should be.
I was considering gas conversion but
a) I've heard they either don't run the best on gas or petrol, you can only get one system working well at a time.
b)Don't want to lose my load space in the back, I'd have to take out my drawers.
I'm not that fussed with the economy, or lack of it, I was just fishing around to see my options.
