Has anyone else seen/read about a S1 in WWII, I remember reading a Doctor who book years ago, set in WWII where the doctor jumped in a "land-rover". There was probably a tv version of the book too, so I wonder if they stuffed up there as well.
Given that the books are british they should have known...
Oh and the 110 in the "bush tucker man - stories of survival" was a rare 110 wagon command car - and according to mates of mine, there are some of them in service (in non-combat roles) that are painted white like Les's was. The story I heard was that he was somehow allowed to buy it from the army - probably the only one in civillian hands.

The Russians (Tratiak's henchmen) burn around in P38's in "The Saint" remake.
Latest James Bond w/ Halle Berry has new Rangie in it too.
Remember UK series "MI5" w/ the Ford RS2000?
Well in one episode the baddies set up a small missle is in a hole in a park and the good guys drive a 2 door Rangie over the hole (jumping out first) just as the missle launches, saving the day. But not the Rangie.

I think they used a 110 in the remake too - the bad guys used it to push
the transit van off the dam/bridge in the beginning

Yeah it's a tough life, remembering stuff and writing about it.
I remember when i did have a partner, she was always:
"DEAN! are remembering stuff! stop that now and pay attention to me! I won't have you going to school and remembering stuff. Not stuff about range rovers and landies and all that nonsense. DEAN! Where do you think you're going! you're going to remember stuff and write about it! Aren't you! AREN'T YOU!"
now that she's gone though, i've got all the time in the world to remember stuff, and write about it.

What about the military series, the bad guy's drove in 'Sahara'.
On another note, heard the other day that Les Hiddens white command 110 had been written off, the private owner drowned it!. Apparently its slowly being dismantled in a yard in Gympie possibly owned by Len. Get your ex-ADF parts while you can!!. Bloody shame.

In Steven Segal's "Exit wounds" they drive a rangie through the top of a multi story car park and land it in the street, and it keeps going!!
Regarding the Monash Land Rover site, it's Llyods from CSSE. I've never met him though. There are a few Rover nuts at Monash! We had the Rover club of Vic show at Monash last Sunday!
