Rear diff woes...

After some opinions on the problems I am having with my rear diff. :?: Got some lockers installed in my Jeep Wrangler a couple of weeks ago along with some new R&P's (different ratio) and am noticing alot of oil leaking out of the rear diff breather.
I checked the oil level and after only about 500kms of driving it was very low, took a good 500ml of oil to top it up.
It seems to be alot worse after some highway use, the locker functions perfectly and the compressor doesn't work overtime to activate the lockers.

Is this a TJ?
Is the oil coming out the end of the hose at chassis height? or at the axle
tube .Is the oil foaming or frothy.Go back to the garage that instaled the locker and make inquiries, what grade oil was used.?

Yes it is for a TJ Wrangler with dana44 rear. It is comming out the end of the factory breather hose up around the fuel tank filler. They did write on the diff hat 'LSD oil only' but not sure exactly what grade oil they used and I can't tell whether it was foaming or frothy as it has just been spat out everywhere.

It has been booked into the workshop on Thursday for them to have a look at, but was just after some other opinions.

Hi Shane
The early 80 had this problem, and Toyota extended the front breather hose to slow the loss...another thing to check would be to not pump up the compresser and see if that makes any diff-erence...(sorry) if it does stop the leak, then the seals are pinched in the loka and when charged, air is coming out of the breather hose, and with it...oil...does the compresser load up on and off when you are not using the lokas?? This is a sign that air is escaping too.

how big is the factory breather line ??? maybe u should remove the original fitting in the diff and drill out the hole an re-tap the thread and put in a bigger fittin 2 allow the air 2 move thru the hose without draggin oil up aswell....

but sounds 2 me like its the locker leakin and pressurisin the diff therefore pushin oil up the breather
