Hi All
The gas struts on the rear hatch of my wife's Pathfinder don't keep the hatch open any more which is really annoying. The price for Nissan replacement parts is ridiculous. I heard that some companies offer to regass them.
Does anyone know if this works in the long term and who does it in the Sydney area. I've only come across one guy who would charge me $100 to regass the pair. Is this a fair price?
Cheers
Joachim

I had 2 sets regassed by WW shock absorbers in Brisbane. The first set cost $25 per strut, the second set was about $40 per strut (same specs so price had increased). That was about 5 years and 2 years ago respectively and no problems with either set since.

Yeah I am always happy to recommend those guys; they rebuilt six konis for me as well and did a great job.
However they are available for purchase new; I bought a set from Autobarn in Dandenong when I lived back in Melbourne and they didn't cost that much.
