Are the bellhousings the same on the 2.8 and 4.0 gasoline engines on the MQs?

I do not think they are the same in shape or use the same clutch. Bolt pattern on them may be the same, I dunno. But on the P40 it is a 6 bolt pattern. I guess I could check my books to see for sure if they use the same 6 bolt pattern.

NO IT IS NOT!

The L28 is the one motor in the MQ/MK that is completly different than the others. It is also the only one with a divorced transfer case. Yet the L28 is the Patrol with the best diff gear ratios if you want big tires.

The P40 and the SD33 are the same though....

So does there need to be a body lift to run 33's without scrubbing??
