I own a HJ60 and will need to fit longer shocks on the back in the near future...looking around online and in old issues of 4WD monthly it seems a lot of trucks have shock hoops fitted to allow such a thing.

How exactly are these fitted and is there a better way to achieve it?

Any info would be appreciated!!

Also a quick tip on how to work out what length shock I need would be appreciated as well! and any opinions on what shock to use or stay clear of would help...you guys seem to be in the know so everyones opinion is valid!

he just asked how to work that out, ie he dosnt know........

for the rear unless youve gone some readical suspension mods prolly best to just use the stock mounting points.
Best way to work out your lenghts is to take your old shocks out and flex your truck up, then measure the distances between the shock mounts compressed and extended, that will tell you how big a shock you need.
