ironman suspension

just thought i'd post some feedback re: a 2" lift for gq from ironman. bought my springs and shocks through southern 4x4 dismantlers in vic total cost $490 which i thought was reasonable. was supplied with the heavy duty kit and fitted it all a week ago. after fitting the front ride height was about 30mm below the rear so i was not too happy. went back to southern and was supplied with constant load springs for the front which i fitted today. this has lifted the front to where it should be and am now happy. due to having a steel winch bar, scrub rails, 10,000lb winch and dual batts the heavy duty springs just couldn't cope with the load. for the money i am very happy with the improved ride quality and handling of this gear. i also changed the panhard bushes and steering dampner whilst i was at it as they were totally shagged. my front draglink was totally flogged out also and due to the ridiculous nissan pricing i bought a CHEEZY adjustable one and would have to describe it as top quality and significantly stronger than the original. all these changes have eliminated the dodgy steering wobble that would occur from time to time and now drives nicely. happy to recommend southern 4x4 as they were helpful and happy to exchange the springs for the right ones without drama's.
