Ive seen them, definately 240v not 12 volt. sorry right idea, wrong product.

Pretty cheap way to get a resovoir tanks, gauge, air line and fittings to pull to bits and use with a proper 12V compressor - I am off to get one now...

Also, this might sound insane, but I wander if the shaft could be belt driven through some sort of re-gearing device off the engine? (not to be permanently connected of course)

mitre ten sells the 35 ltr per mn mega grunt 12 volt for 89 bucks comes set up with lon leads snap lock fittings works well
