it is a 2 in 1 relay with double fuses. l think it cost about $50 but that was a few years ago, had it on my 80 series. with the GU you can pick up a plug in loom kit fot $75 so l never used it. As for power
both fuses are 30amp, thats all l know. Problem is l dont remember how to wire it up. Dohhh!

i would say that 1 terminal would be earth, 1 would be trigger( ie high beam switch), 2 would be battery, and 2 would be to the lights.
thats just my opinion, i have never seen one before so i am mostly just guesing.

Ask your brother, see if he has an "expenation".
L = Load i would think.
See you guys at the Paj challenge. How did the new GPS go?

S1=Switch(then to earth)
S2=Switch(then to earth)
B=Battery
L1=Load(spotlight)
L2=Load(spotlight)
S=Signal(from highbeam or wherever you want it to be ran with)
This is all from memory as i havent wired one of these up in the last few years.
This is a dual circuit relay designed to run 2 seperate sets of lights. And are quite a good relay.

Thanks Ruff, a diagram would be helpfull. Your explanation would require 3 switches if i understand correctly. l thought seeing the B is for battery that the S might be an earth or doesnt it require an earth?

from what i understand of what ruff said, it is a negative trigger relay.
so S would be conected constantly providing positive current and S1 & S2 provide the earth when switched on which compltes the circuit.

Steve is right it is earth switched as it is a lot safer and efficiant to run a short power cable from the battery to the relay and only run the earth through the firewall to the switches. There is less chance of chaffing where it goes through the firewall and therefore less chance of fire!

I used one of these years ago to make a heavy duty relay for the headlights in my 4runner. I used 6mm wire through out with 90/130 globes.
Made a big difference over the original small toyota wiring...
