Trying to correct the angel of the transfer case to rear diff.

Has anyone packed out a transfer case and how hard is it.

Also does anyone know of somewhere in brisbane that would do it.

Been told that up to 15mm of packing can be put between the crossmember and the chassis to bring the drive flanges down and reduce the angles....the 8 bolts that hold this together are about 25mm long each, so there is plenty of meet there.

hi i did mine by cutting 10mm out of them, putting a bolt inside the hollow tube and rewelding plus a coat of paint...like new....
Nill cost.
Also picked up a d/c joint for the front diff...hilux rear d/c out of dualcab i think is a straight bolt pattern match :-)

beats paying $200 for adjustables. if your not going
to change the lift again you may as well chop them.
or get an engineering mob to do it if your not to
confident on the welder.

The bolt size is 3/4, but the head off and slip it inside, schanfer the cuts and weld away (keep the end eyes cool with water...make sure the ends are parallel by putting the lot on a steel bench to weld)
