Super Select Wiring

Well not having the super select IFS anymore I will be plagued by the dreaded flashing lights everytime I engage 4x4.
Thinking about this when 4x4 is engaged a signal is sent to the vacuum solenoids to release vacuum on the free wheeling actuator so it will slide across and engage the right side axle. At the same time a 12 volt signal is sent from the 4x4 ECU to the detent switch. The detent switch located in the hub assembly will get the signal that the actuator is in position and complete the circuit to light up the 4x4 dash lights. Now there is only the plug dangling there that plugged into the detent switch wiring so if I bridge it out (connect the 2 positive terminals together) the circuit will be instantly complete as soon as I engage 4x4. Therefore the 4 lights will come on instantly and stay on until I engage 2wd.
Is this too easy or am I missing something here ????
