After having keeled over on a price for a major service on my GQ
I thought I had better ask ....6-800 bucks ??
Keeping in mind this is my first 4WD and my first Diesel is that reasonable or is something wrong there ?

Apparently it will be... All filters, Gearbox, Diffs, Transfer case, Tune etc etc and so forth. I should ask what the "90" point check entails for a major service before I fork out the readies
Alice Springs is kinda limited in choice I am told, both places that were recommended quoted a similar figure :(

that is also known as price fixing.. but if you have no choice, go with it.
all the oils you can do yourself, diffs, engine oil and filters, gearbox I would leave to them, its a PITA, but the others do yourself

gearbox is not too hard. i just filled up on of those garden weed sprayer things with oil then you just pump it up and the oil flows straight in.
