I have heard that it is possible to use your air con pump as a compressor pump...now I know you can do it...how is it done??

one guy told me that all ya do is drain the oil and fill it with grease...surely it cant be that easy! or is it?

Same motor (2H)...but i dont use the air con so I willin to sacrifice this pump instead of installin a 2nd one

I would also appreciate any comments on shock hoops (like those available from superior eng.) how are they fitted...that sort of thing...thanks

generally you chop off the existing shock mounts and weld the hoops to the chassis. It would be possible to make bolt-on hoops but it would involve welding crush sleeves into the frame, which at the end of the day is more difficult than welding the hoops on.

are you doing a springover conversion? if not it is unlikely you need shock hoops.

cheers

I currently get snagged by the shocks on there now (both ways) and the only way I can get out of it is by fitting longer shocks...And there is no point in fitting longer shocks if I still get snagged during upwards travel...thats what lead me to think of fitting shock hoops.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
