Coil over leaf spring

Not sure if this has been done or not. Did a google search with no help
My question is can you run a set of coil springs on top of a leaf spring set up.
My rear leafs are starting to sag to the point there a flat in the middle.
I dont want to spend money on new leafs, and cant afford to go to a A frame coil rear.
Is there any major issues with adding coils to leaf spring set up.
I would like the following outcomes if possible.
A little better ride quality
And to bring it back to standard hieght, maybe and extra inch or 2
Adding flex is not a big concern, it flexes ok for the moment, and i would assume i wouldnt lose any.
Can any one offer there opinions on this mod and the possible implications
Thanks
Dave

Hang on
you can not afford new leaf springs but you can afford a very custom setup ???
Leaf springs are cheap I would just get a new set
Other options
1. Add a leaf pro's gets back your height and downt really affect flx but does increase ride harshness but a fair bit
2. Reset springs will get back your height for a short time but will increase spring rate causing harder ride
3. Airbags will handle high load weights is height adjustable down side is the cost but is a similar idea to your coils being added ontop of the leaf's but is adjustable and a proven setup

Buying new leafs doent interest me, i would prefer to put in the coils and in future remove the leafs and replace them with an aframe,
Sort of looking at getting myself out of a problem, with a fix that could be improved on later

there are a couple of places that do them, one fabs new top mounts for the coil and the other(not sure if still around) just bungs in a new coil between the chassis rail and the axle. I'm pretty sure that people that go this route are just looking for extreme load carrying ability. I have these on a 47 which has been severly abused its entire life and any spring sag is not noticeable. But it has NO articulation unless it has 1+ tonne on the tray. And i lost a spring in the bush, damn. Also its not a really cheap option, especially if you are not after that extra load ability.

what sort of car do you have? it's a common and simple procedure for the rear of the older LWB toyotas.
