the only thing that puts me off considering a K&N is if going through water unless you have a cover around it, it could suck up some water might not be alot but still might do damage any one had this happen or do they use original air box

i believe that you can get a K&N filter to suit the factory sierra air box. I think Rocket Industries in Sydeny import them. I think Liam at big balls has some connection there.

yeah there is one to suit the standard air box. $176 last time i checked.

yer sorry i ment the pod style filter
the only good way i have seen cant remember who it was but they cut a hole in the fire wall and put the filter in the cab and then ran the pipe from in the cab to the motor

well they have 2 types replace ment filters and pod filters and they let more air throught but filter better than stock very good filter worth the money for sure and from memory there a paper style filter but made of cloth and washable but i could be wrong

if ya payin $176 ya gettin ripped. i got a UNI FILTER standard replacement filter for mine and it only cost $55 i think. and it is a oiled foam filter like the finer filter ones. works a treat. www.unifilter.com.au is the site. can order online

$176 is for a K&N which is far superior to a Unifilter. Although it is still abit high as others have pointed out. $140 is a bit closer to the mark.

Anyone got anything to back that up? I'd be interested to know if there really is significant difference between them.
