RE: The BIBLES

Post by V8Patrol »

Its been a tad over 3 months since they have been "out there" and judging by the number of 'views' they see a fair amount of use and on a daily basis.

I'm still updating the MQ/MK series as the info comes forward, all be it slow at times.

My questions are .......
Can it be made any better ?
What else should be added/subtracted ?
Is it 'sorted' into catagories well enough ?

this might be taking it too far, but breaking down ls1 conversion for example to things like fuel pumps used, pcm work, conversion kits and scource, engine mounts, wiring. i think if the sections were there it would take everyone like 2 mins to add their share, eg bosh motorsport..., marks ph#123456, etc.

it just depends what your goal is i guess.

cheers mate

Look closely, its not the only topic that has been "doubled up ".
There is a reason for this too, some "parts", like the trackbar you mentioned, interact within more than one or more other componets.

For example "fuel tanks"..... are they in the
L28 section ....... engines need fuel, and a bad supply can cause engine problems, SD33 section ..... as above, & the same goes for the V8 section
too. But the tank is attached to the chassis, so it could be a chassis issue, the filler comes through the body, does it need to be in the "body" section ????

The next problem is how someone searches for a problem solver within the Bible, their problem may be a faulty fuel filler for example, would they find it if it was only listed in the chassis section ?

If it was a fuel filler issue for example.................

The first place id personally look would be under the fuel section.
but if that fails if browse, then id ask the question so that it can be added to the bible......

Is it possible to use the search function to put in the topic ( MQ/MK bible )
then select under it wat u want to look for under that topic?

cheers
