Insurance Trap

With all the problems floating around the forums with insurance I thought I might as well test things for my self, I went online to JCI (justcarinsurance.com.au) and told them I hadn't yet purchased the Vehicle, It was to be a 94 DX patrol 4.2 diesel, I added a 4" spring lift, Bullbar, winch, turbo, exhaust, CB, but forgot to mension 35" tyres this time round

The qoute was a $1000, which is a bit ripe but the mungrels will only Comprehensively Insure it for $15,500. MY GOD
I CANT EVEN BUY A 94-95 GQ IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THAT. Just surched Trading post and some for 14000 -15000 are shockers. I would advise a pre purchase qoute from these companies, it might make you think Harder about buying an OLD CAR for more thaan what it is actually worth??
