I've got a head off a 2.8 litre (3L) Hilux. It looks the same as a 2L-T and possibly a 3.0 litre head. Can anyone confirm this?

The 3L head is interchangable with the 2L motor. In some cases the water jacket needs to be cut out but they are a good replacement head for a 2L, 2LT or 2LT-E
afaik it is not interchangable with the 5L (3litre)
but could be wrong

it will probably interchange with 2L-TE and 2L-TII but not sure on the compatibility with early 2L(-T). However looks can be deceiving especially with indirect injected diesel heads - you need to very carefully cc the combustion chambers nd ensure they are the same as the original head, small differences in combustion chamber volume can have dramatic consequences on compression ratio.

Th only differance between the 2LT and the 3L heads is the 3L head has 6 steam hole between each cylinder
The 2LT has a different cam profile than the naturaly aspirated 3L
