It holds Roger's Rangie on a crane!!!
I got it and haven't had any problems. As for weather its better I have no opinion as I havent owned Plasma, but have used it and it was good too. It's prolly a much of a muchness.

Does anyone use this stuff as a winch extension rather than a Winch Extension Strap? I want to remove all but a few of meters of my wire cable on my buggy but dont want to carry an extension strap as these dont work to well if i need to double line pull.

I cant remove all the wire as my winch also works with the front suspension and the rope wont handle the abuse from this.

Have used synthetic rope as an extension and it is very good but you have to mindful of the way you wrap/wind it up as it can get tangled when setting it up against the clock. Also need to be careful when using it with a snatch block as it can easily get caught between the pulley and side plate.

I know of one team from UK that uses it as winch extension strap. As long as you splice it properly.

I believe you need 10mm thick plasma or dynamica rope to enter competitions.

As stated in the CCDA Rules and Regs - "Synthetic ropes shall have a load rating of at least twice that of the winch safe working load or 4 times the nominal vehicle weight whichever is the least."

Hope this clarifies things :)
