motormounts 7mge swap

Post by sid »

hi

everybody says that the motormounts line up if u do the swap.
the problem is, nobody has tried it with the 4Y stock in it, everybody had a 2L or R22

what do u guys think?
are the motormounts on a 4Y the same as 2L or 22re ??

thanks

i am quite sure that the 4y mounts will be in a different location. my 3y mounts were way too far back and would have made the engine sit too high. you will have to make new ones. its not too hard to do tho. a welder and some 8mm steel is all that is needed.

it depend on the chassis rail bends in certain areas and may hinder the application of the 7m mounts. IMO get the engine in there and have both at the ready. then you will be able to see it line up and you can use whatever fits. or do your howework with a tape measure. whatever suits
