G'day,

As most or some of you may know the insurance company stiffed me and now I am in the market for a new Rangie.

Looking for a 82-83 vintage Rangie, 4 door (would look at a 2 door if the right one), 4 speed manual and near stock as possible as i want to put my own gear on. Eng/box wise I am not too concerned if not too flash, but rust is my main concern so a near rust free example would be ideal.

Budgeting for around $3-4K mark. Just though I would put this up to see if there anyhting out there. I am located in brisbane, but would considre a good Rangie interstate if a good one.

Unfortunatley not

Just picked up a reasnoble 83 Rangie 4 dr 4 spd manual for $2700 with 3 mths rego. Not showroom condition, but has a couple of small dents to get me started off

Well done, sounds like a good buy - so you will be swapping the running gear and interior from Aquarangie into it???

If so, what is the LT95 like and how much do you want for it?

The name will remain the same. While Aquarangie is no longer, it's spirit will live on the 83 :)

Plans will be to put the 3.9EFI, ZF auto and all the lockers and so forth into the new dunga. I am a little tight on dosh at the moment, but the Rangie was a good buy mainly is that it had rego, it was running (althougbh a bit of a slug compard to my 3.9EFI) and it had a couple of months rego, so it was cheap enough to get on the road. Also so my old man can sell the 88 Rangie I have been using for a couple of months :bad-words:

Anyway, secured the vehicle but now the fun starts. Have to take it off-road as is to see how it performs without being played with.

Love to go Dave, but have to sort out the new machine for a RWC :D

Regards,

Trav
