urgent GQ rear brake question

I have a 93 GQ wagon with rear drum brakes and it looks like the load sensing (or proportioning) valve is shot. Nissan want around 800 $ for the spare part.
Does anyone know if the rear sensing valve for the rear drum and disks are identical? Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

i had mine without the valve working and it seemed ok too. had a 8"+ lift with only a 4"riser bar so the angle was all wrong and the valve was not working.

just checked the shed i thought i had a spare but no luck.

cheers bru

Thanks guys. I found out that the proporting valves for drum and disc rear are identical. According to Nissan, the part No. listed for the disc model superseeds the one for the drum rear. I was lucky with one of the wreckers and it'll go in tomorrow.

I'm looking into this as well now. Problem is that my workshop has just replaced my master brake cylinder which I would have to toss out. I just don't want to completely blow out the budget for that fix.
