Ok..

Ive got ford AU twinthermo fans put in..

Ive got the stock TD42 alternator.

Lets see what ive got... UHF, XGT's, ARB compressor, AU twinthermos, Hi mount winch.

How much amps does the twinthermos put out and will my alternator be able to handle it.. or will it have to go?

Oh another thing.. if it has to go

WHAT DO I REPLACE WITH ??? im lookin for somethign thats a straight bolt on..

Ive been suggested a GU 4.2 alternator (90 amp i think ???? - anyone care to corrobate?? )

Hope you can help

Cheers in advance

I've got a single thermo off a Daewoo Nubra on my Feroza. I was rewiring it on the weekend to reduce voltage drops and measured the current at around 10 Amps once it was up to speed & the peak was over 15 Amps at start up.

And a bit of useless info on the subject of thermos: Davies Craig thermo wiring looms are trash- I was losing 0.7V! The fan was noticeably faster if I bypassed the loom. Drop is now < 0.2V.

Probably easiest to replace it with a bigger HItachi ALT. There is a place up your way somewhere that has larger versions of the Hitachi complete with vacuum pump. Cant remember the name though. There was a thread on the Nissan discussion forum a while back and this place was mentioned. They do have a website.
