Im thinkin of building myself a replacement rear bar for my GQ Shorty. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or even better Pics! that i could get some ideas of. Just to let you know i still have the rear quarter panels but might consider a chop depends on the cost. What do you normally pay to get the rear quarter panels chopped?

Here's mine, just had it modified and fitted. It was originally an ARB. I picked it up 2nd hand for $200. It has been modified for the body lift and reversing lights.

Was that a bar originally for a GQ?
That looks great - where did you get it?
What did you use to cut the reversing light holes?

Yes the bar is a GQ bar. Its an ARB bar made before they got into the sack with Kaymar. I found it in the trading post, they come up regularly. The reversing lights holes were cut with a big arse hole saw and lots of lube. I also had it powder coated as it was blue. I could have sworn it was black when I bought it.

Be warned the bar weighs heaps. Freight will be a killer depending on where you are.
