Hey there, I have just bought and older F250, Its a 77" canadian. Got some ideas in my head about lifting it with susspension and a body lift? BIG Problems(that I know about):- so far the biggest problems I have found so far is the weight and the price of a lift kit. Wondering where else I can possible go to look at something in OZ? I still use it for towing but want to go a bit further off road, any ideas, gadjets or the like. I know that it might get hung up on some things, but I am hopeing that a lift should fix that prob. If you know of anything else that may go wrong, please let me know.

I can't imagine a 2" lift being that difficult just some custom coils and long shocks
It is coil beam f + r correct
If leaves its really the same, just some custom leaves.
Don't think you'll need anymore than springs and shocks for a small lift only bigger ones will be a hassle. Don't worry about buying a kit.
2" susp + 2" body lift and you could probably run 37's like mtr's
I reckno it would look very
Just 2" suspension and 35's would make it way better anyway.
so far:-

So far on the F250, I've just put on 33,12.5" all rounders (they're pretty chunky) My problem with those is that when I turn they rub against the wall.. so ideas on this? I have a cannopy that is coming off this weekend so that should give it about another inch. I rang QLD transport in regards to what I can and cannot get away with, and they told me anything I wanted was fine, look at 10% increase before a mod plate was required (eg:- lift, body lift, etc.) But on the side of tyres, they wouldn't pass anything over 35" as they where too big. I have found some American Sites that have pretty good looking trucks but, i fear that it won't pass in Qld. Ideas on what I can do to get the truck I want?

I have heard that to do a suspension lift on a current F250 for 2 inches it is $800 per corner. They are very big springs I suppose.

Do you live in Qld? Did you need a plate for this? How much?

Any ideas on what will pass in Qld in regards to mods? Just wondering If I should go crazy on my truck, or I have a patrol as well... but I haven't really looked into what I can do with that...

Just depends on where you want to go. Our F250s are 6.3m long and really wide and they won't go and any real tight tracks.
A guy in our club brought his singl cab F250 (about 5.3m long) out on the weekend and had to bypass the tighter bits and he still managed to rearrange his passenger door.
I'd stick with the Patrol if you want to do any real 4wding. Probably cheaper too.

Yeah, its a single cab and i've found they turning problem myself. I was thinking of power steering and a lift, I thought this might give it a bit better turning circle. Any Ideas? Other wise, I'll lift the truck and put minor changes on it, then move into working the patrol.

power steer and a lift will increase the turning circle. both mods increase it. but power steer makes it a bit easier.

you wont spend 5k on the suspension!! unless you want 12" lift like mine!!
for 38.5 x 14.5 tyres i had sagged 3" susp lift, and 3" bodylift. for 35", 3" should be ok, maybe rub just a little.
