battery quesiton

Marine deep cycle battery - are they simliar/same to a 4wd deep cycle battery?
or are they different all together?

been told they are okay to use basically the same batt i asked an auto elecy cause the patrol i bought allready had one in

marine deep cycle is not a true deep cycle, but rather a mix between high cranking as used as the main car battery and a true deep cycle as used for auxilery. you can use a marine battery but it will not hold charge as well and will bite the dust much earlier.

I believe that a marine battery's plates are bonded together stronger as they are designed to be more resistant to the bouncing around experienced in a boat.
So if you drive pretty hard my way of thinking is that they are the perfect battery.
