I've made a little winch comparison chart.
When I was looking for a new winch I had difficulties choosing one from all the different brands and types so I made my own comparison sheet. After buying my winch I thought It would be a good thing to let everyone take profit from my sheet.
Cheers Bowy with a new HS9500 and a old Warn 8274

Hi Bowy, good to see you on here, haven't noticed you here before.
The winch comparison chart sounds interesting, but I cannot access your site at the moment.
Your IIA is a pretty cool truck, are you still running 9.00-16's? What axles/lockers and how are they holding up?

Hi Ben,
I've been lurking for almost 2 years now (one as registered user) but don't have the time to be active on all the forums.... (have to work sometimes

. I'm the mod on the dutch forum so busy with that already.
You should probably be able to acces the site by now:

Serious has been taken a few steps further now.
For everyday it sits on BFMud 35x12,5x15 and for extreme on the MT117 280x85x16
Has an external rollcage added, new paintjob, new 9500HS! and a few other tweaks (all the specs have been updated on my site recently)

i'm not up on winches and i'm lazy - whats the difference between the HS and the ti/si since they have the same ratings... just that indicator thing?

Yes there is no difference in the specs except the Ti/Si has the newer type of motor. and the Si/Ti are only available in the integrated relais unit type (i). They both got the thermo sensor Ti/Si. Bu the Si has a MOSFET controlled relais pack, what acoording to Warn should be better.....

looks good.. the only other thing which is significant is how common and how available parts are. halfway through the outback challange your warn cuts out - you will have it going in no time, your ramsay well thats a different story.
also maybe costs in us$ could be added as most people look at cost first when buying a winch, as many of the "red" winches are cheap too!
otherwise very good effort mate
cheers bru
