Have any of yoos guys got a pair of standard 110 Defender rear coils lying around the shed that could use a new home?

My 110 has a pair of very hard after market rear coils of unknown heritage (it was used for heavy towing), plus my '85 model has the load leveller (which may still work but I will never know with hard springs fitted).

I would like to put in a pair of coils from a Defender but I need to know if they are the rates that are fitted with or without the load leveller.

All my driving is in the Kimberley with only medium loads so I am looking for easier articulation and a bit softer ride on the rough stuff. Because of the stiff rear end I had get snatched out by a Tojo recently when I got cross axled in a sharp creek. Bloody undignified that was!!

my mate has some but might be a bit far from you. springs are not that expensive so check what a new set will cost before paying anyone second hand. aftermarkte springs will offer a better ride but it sounds like you siimply need a softer setting. with the roads you are doing i would get soemaftermarket just set a little softer than your current springs.
cheers
