Visit from the VIC Police

Well Gerg and I were putting his beater back together after its respray last week, it was behind my gates so we couldn't be seen from the street, I was standing on the seats fitting a new weather strip when two police officers peeked over my gate. :?:

The senior of the two piped up and said "This must be the suzuki we're after" (Yeah at that point we chat ourselves)
Turned out that there was a hit and run earlier this year (I don't watch the news but Greg remembered it). The vehicle described was a suzuki sierra.

Ok Stop right there

How dodgy did we look to them, they were inquiring about a suzuki used in a h&r and here we were putting one back together after a respray.

Anyhoo turned out they were there to look at mine and not gregs (which is pulled apart) Ok there is me looking dodgy again, one of them actually said "are you pulling it apart because you mowed somone down in it (I think he was joking)

So

Anybody else had a visit???? We told them to say hi to all the other VIC suzi club members they came across

Havn't had the experience but instead last night i was coming home from work after almost getting fired when i saw a cop car, watched it in my rear vision mirror and noticed it do a very very abrupt U turn.

what now i thought? they booted it up till they were an inch behind me then let the sirrons go. pulled over. apparently someone had called my number plate in for "hooning" on thursday night. and they gave me a big arse lecture. this being thursday night i had just gotten my 31" muddies put on and had to drive it like a baby as i am still doing cause no lift and 31"s dont go too well on sharp turns. was a bit of a laugh untill one of the cops said well i can get you for both your tyres being too big, sticking out from the guards and also your tow ball obstructs your number plate. at this point i almost died!!!! then he just said well keep your dumb stuff to the tracks and have a good night

Could not believe it.

we passed a coppa with the gun parked at the Glenburn pub on out AT in march

everything from critta with no doors or screen, gregs with no doors or screen, 3 others ith no doors, tyres handing out and the guy never batted an eyelid.

Can you imagine the paperwork if he had to defect 12 cars.

At least in VIC you can drive a SPOA and not have to worry about being pulled over.

i went to Torque in 2001 with one of my mates who surf for billabong for a comp and loved the place even though i didn't see sunlight for 3 weeks. was the best time of my life. i might think about it in a few years time cause i hate how little we can do to cars up here.

I wasn't worried, lets just say I have a family member who is involved with a rather well know motorcycle group so visits from the boys in blue are common.

Greg looked a little more pale than usual though.

I had a visit this morning. There was a hit and run in Melbourne Western Suburbs which an eye witness thought a black/dark coloured sierra was involved in. So they are working through all the black/dark suzuki sierras out there.

Lol. So how do they plan on catching the culprits then?? Sure they can go around knocking on everyone's doors but how are they going to single the person out?

dont worry steve ya not the only one to get a visit from the cops over that hit and run!

i got a visit about 6 weeks ago. Aparently the suzi involved was a dark coloured on  with the rego starting with the letter "S"  and acording to the witness reports it was the passenger side that got the pedestrian.

Now my zook fits all three of those catergorys. the cops were here asking me questions for about 2hours and did a full report on my vehicle.

Now to make things worse i had it in pieces putting in the bodylift. So it had no front bumper or bullbar on it and ya can see the damaged front body mount. I thought they were gonna arrest me!

then i asked them what the date was that it happened and thankfully i was at a 30th b'day and had about 30 witnesses. they actually rang the b'day girl to check if i was there when i said.

then about 3 weeks ago they turned up again at 3am. WTF. I opened the door to see to cops standing there so i just put both hands out ready for the cuffs. well aparently a car i had sold was found burnt out in thorpdale and still had the plates on it registeded to me. talk about shait ya self
