Very Hard Diagnosis (for me) (GQ Problem)

Hi guys,

I don't have much info as yet but today after driving my TB42 shorty '89 for about 4mins just after i changed into 3rd after reving in 2nd to about 4000rpm there was a very load clunk/clang like a large piece of metal fell off the underside of the car and i ran over it. However nothing on the road and no one behind me swerving or flashing.

I continued on and this happened again same situation same revs after a further 4mins or so (i got some fuel and beer). Had a look under the car and nothing was missing i think.

Next set of lights my car loses 1 or 2 cylinders and idle drops right down, so i use the throttle and the other cylinders kick in.

The past few days it has been running rough and when cold some cylinders drop out when under load.

Any Ideas? Esp. on the two loud clanging noises. Does it just need some plugs and leads, i cleaned them up last sunday and they seemed in ok cond.

Sorry about the lack of info
Thanks
Rob

P.s. When I turn the steering wheel there is a clunk, what is broken? It only happens in one spot (almost dead centre) and when the steering is under load. It does it with the car off too. The car is on 35's
