Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Found out on weekend that 90w low beam for few hrs, + 0degrees water = shattered H4 glass :(

Autobarn have a Narva conversion kit (2x housings, 2 x bulbs) for $99.

I'm after something similar myself. Ultimately I'm after some free-form housings (clear glass, reflector does all the focusing) and phillips vision plus bulbs. I don't think that either the Hella or Narva conversion lenses are free-form.

I'm starting to think that this is what the "crystallised" lamps sold on ebay are http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... eName=WDVW but don't quote me on that.

I know that these are definately free-form but don't know if they are available in Australia http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Prod ... pId-399035

So 30% (reflector) + 50% (bulb) improvement should mean that the wattages remain a legal 55W for an output similar to 140W. I haven't put this into practice so if someone else has I'd be interested to hear how it went.

The 7' headlights on ebay are free form, but be carefull most people think the quality of the light comes from the globe, but the lens / reflector determins the quality of the light. I would be more inclined to go for either hella or narva conversions as they are good quality lights.
As yet neither hella or narva make a free form lamp. Cibie make a free form lamp but as yet they are only available in 5 1/4 diameter.

I checked with one of the ebay sellers and apparently the headlights are not "E" marked. I imagine that "E" markings are required for road-worthiness?

The E markings are there to state that the lights meet the european standards. I'm pretty sure your narva headlights have an E1 or E2 marking on them if you look closely.

If they don't have E markings then I assume they haven't been made to any standard and are probably not a decent product.
