guys just about to put the patrol on straight gas and have read that you should get the engine (350chev) dyno straight after getting the gas.... thoughts????

more importantly than being put on a dyno, is get is tuned with a exhaust gas analyser, or oxygen sensor. whoever is tuning it will also want to advance your distributer. you will need it tuned with the sensors to get the mixture right. also, as these carbies were setup as a pair, on a 400ci blown bigblock, it will probably be a bit lean for what you want. but it should be ok to bolt on, maybe richen it a little, and drive it to the mechanic.

Gas fitters are required to have a gas analyser as it is too hard to get the mixtures right. Its not like petrol & carbies where you can fiddle to get it right.
Using a dyno is better but it can be done without.
