targa bar removal

Post by -richard- »

hi

what would i need to do to legally remove the targa bar (+ support bars to windscreen) from a soft top sierra? i assume i would need to install a rollbar with upper seat belt mounts. would i need to get an engineers certificate?

anybody done this? can anybody recommend a place that could do this (rollbar + engineers certificate)? how much would this cost all up?

im in victoria

thanks

I tink you need an engineers certificate for the roll cage (in the second picture)

The other is a Sport bar and I don't think you need an engineers certificate for that one, but I'm not sure if the'd like the removal of the targa bar.

Any modification of the seat belt mounting points would require an engineers report - no matter what state you are in.
