How have you body lifted 40 owners raised the front guards as they bolt into the chassis? I can make up brackets for them but the right front guard is hard up against the battery tray. Have you guys raised the battery tray too or done something different?

When I lifted my 40 series 2 inches I had to refab the battery tray which was also necessary to make room for the 60 series power steer conversion that I did at the same time...

When i did mine, the easiest bit was lifting the body - getting everything else to suit was where the dramas started.

Lifted steering box 2.5", moved idler box 10mm towards pass side, changed steering column angle (in cab), cut a small amount of firewall out. Extended guard mounts - though i didn't extend them until a few years later ( the bottom holes still worke i think - one hole did, might have drilled the other)

Heaps fun.

Now that i re-read your post -

Battery was relocated to under the tray, so no dramas in that area.
The guard mount extensions were just 3mm plate, which took up four original mount holes and four original chassis holes - sharing the centre pair, so six holes all up.
