Axle Wrap

I've been running the rear springs up front and since fitting the Marlin I'm having some problems with front shaft coming out when reversing while crossed up. I have a disconnect on the axle locating arm and will need to remove it altogether when I go x-over.

What options do I have to stop the axle winding the springs. ( In reverse the pinion rotates towards the ground and thats why the shaft falls out !! )

If you want to stop the pack from seperating then you'll have to clamp it which will also start putting limitations on axle droop. what you want is a longer slip shaft.

why get rid of the trackbar? remodel it so that it limits wrap without affecting articulation - should only require a rotating joint at one end.

Try a reasonable size flat load leaf on the bottom of the pack. If you want your springs to last you shouldn't be letting them invert anyway so the extra leaf will help the wrap and the inversion properties. It shouldn't change the flex too much as the majority of the flex from the rear pack comes from droop rather than compression. Well, this is how mine is but maybe it's just sagged.

PS You also get the extra lift of the thick leaf :finger:

Cheers Guys

Sounds like a square shaft, and short load leaf might help :)

I got both but no marlin. Swap them for the marlin? :finger: I'll even pay freight!
