Hi
I have a nissan gearbox and t/case and am wondering what madel year its out of .

I have been told it was on a 2.3 diesel . Wanting to know if this is suitable for the low gear set from calmini or not . They say from 86.5 onwards etc . When did they stop making a 2.3 or is the t/case still the same .looks like it from the pic's but if I was to fork out all that $$$$ I would want to know for sure .

Cheers
Chris

or does anyone else do low gear sets for these ?

That's definitely a TX10A transfer case. The only variation Calmini is concerned with is the spline count on the input shaft. We don't have diesels here in the USA, but we have 24-spline shafts from the 4-cylinder transmissions and 30-spine shafts from the 6-cylinder one. Otherwise, they're identical.
Not sure what transmission that one might have, but in the USA, the 4-cylinder models had the FS5W71C 5-speed and RL4R01A automatic, and the 6-cylinder had the FS5R30A manual and RE4R01A automatic.

I've got Nissan's FAST parts-system software, and I have not been able to spec an SD23 diesel in a 4WD drivetrain on anything likely that I've tried: 720 truck, D21 truck, D22 truck, WD21 Pathfinder, or R20 Terrano II in any market (General LHD, General RHD, European LHD, European RHD) and it wasn't offered in some of those models in the first place, so I think you may have some bad info on the engine that was paired with.

If you can verify the spline count, you should be good to go.
